The Minnesota Twins jumped on Kansas City Royals starter Daniel Lynch in Friday's win at Kauffman Stadium. With an early 3-0 lead, the Twins needed an effective start from Devin Smeltzer. They got it in the form of 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball. José Miranda added some insurance with a two-run double late, and the Twins improved to 23-16 on the season.
