The Minnesota Twins took command early and never relinquished it in a 9-0 blowout win over the Kansas City Royals at Target Field on Tuesday night.

Five Twins had multi-hit games and Sonny Gray, Caleb Thielbar, Michael Fulmer and Cole Sands combined for a five-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts as the Twins improved to 60-55. The Twins will go for the sweep on Wednesday afternoon with Tyler Mahle on the mound, opposed by southpaw Daniel Lynch.
