Locked on Twins POSTCAST: Twins Salvage Split with Royals -- But at a Cost
Brandon and Nash Walker have a rapid video reaction to the Twins splitting a weekend series with the Royals, though they did so with injuries mounting
The Minnesota Twins beat the Kansas City Royals in Sunday's series finale at Target Field. Sonny Gray started and pitched six scoreless innings before he was removed with a pectoral issue in the seventh. Royce Lewis started in centerfield, with José Miranda returning to St.Paul. Lewis made a terrific catch in the third but pain in his surgically-repaired knee knocked him out of the game. Nick Gordon replaced him and hit a home run and a double. Gio Urshela hit a three-run homer and Trevor Larnach blasted an opposite-field round-tripper of his own. The Twins are 29-19 and now head to Detroit for five games against the Tigers.
