The Minnesota Twins lost on Opening Day to the Seattle Mariners, 2-1. Joe Ryan started and struggled with his command, surrendering a two-run homer to Mitch Haniger in the first inning. The homer ended up deciding the game as Robbie Ray pitched extremely well for Seattle. The Twins had opportunities, but failed to capitalize for much of the day.
