The Kansas City Royals defeated the Minnesota Twins 5-4 at Kauffman Stadium Monday night. The Twins took a 3-0 lead thanks in part to a two-run single from Carlos Correa in the second. Matt Wallner doubled in the first run of the game off Zack Greinke. It was Wallner's second RBI of his very young career. The Royals took the lead on a Bobby Witt Jr. single in the fifth and then took it again on a Salvador Pérez double in the seventh. The Twins are 73-75 and have two more games with the Royals, completing their season series Thursday afternoon.
