The Minnesota Twins lost to the New York Yankees 5-2 in Monday's series opener at Yankee Stadium. Aaron Judge hit a key two-run homer in the sixth to break a 2-2 tie, his 54th of the season. The Twins scored their two runs on a blast from Gary Sánchez in the fifth. Joe Ryan and Gerrit Cole are set to square off in Tuesday's matchup, another tough task for a Twins team in need of a run in the American League Central. The Twins are 68-65.
