The Minnesota Twins split a doubleheader with the Detroit Tigers Tuesday. Devin Smeltzer was outstanding in game one, Cole Sands struggled early in game two, and the Twins offense showed up for only one of the affairs. Max Kepler had a fantastic day at the plate, while Gary Sánchez belted another homer and Trevor Larnach continued to drive in runs. That didn't continue in game two, when the Twins were shutout and failed to hit the ball hard. They are 30-21.
